What is the message about? . . .
In this Gospel story, Jesus takes the three disciples that are closest to him, his most trusted, up to a mountain to pray. It was not uncommon for him to model prayer for his followers. But they were in for much, much more. A supernatural experience of sacred characters of history and faith brought to life, and a glimpse of Jesus in partially divine form.
