John 18:33-37

What is the message about? . . .
In today's scripture, there is a highly dramatic conversation between Jesus and Pilate. The Jewish religious and legal authorities, the Sanhedrin, have brought him to Pilate to get the Romans to sanction his execution. The stakes for Jesus surely could not be higher. This is a literal life and death exchange. Pilate was the very representation of empirical power in Jerusalem and had free reign to do anything he wanted with Jesus, including ending his earthly life. How does Jesus respond to Pilate's interrogation? Jesus’ answer tells us about the nature of God's kingdom versus earthly powers and tells us where we belong. Hear more about this critical moment on Sunday morning. We'll save you a seat!
