Anita Grigsby

Organist/Pianist

Anita believes that music is an essential part of worship. She strives to play a wide variety of musical styles on piano and organ that will enlighten and strengthen the worship experience of all participants.   

 

Anita and Gary have been married 53 years and have three beautiful grown daughters and six wonderful grandchildren – one in the Air Force, one recently graduated from State Fair Community College, two in college, and two in high school.  

 

She and Gary have been members of First Christian since 1976 when they moved to Warrensburg to pursue a master of music degrees at the university.  Anita taught elementary music in the Warrensburg School District from 1976-1996 and continues to teach piano lessons. She has been organist at the church for eighteen years and is very excited to be playing the newly rebuilt pipe organ with its many enhanced sounds and electronic possibilities.
