“All One, For Eternity”

John 10:22-30

Fourth Sunday of Easter, May 11th, 2025

What is the message about? . . .

The first law of thermodynamics is the result of the observation that, in the simplest terms, energy cannot be created or destroyed. The law of conservation of energy. Ancient philosophers as far back as Thales of Miletus 550, before Christ’s era, had inklings of the conservation of some underlying substance of which everything is made. Part of Jesus’ answer when asked if he is indeed the Messiah is revealed in John. “I give them eternal life, and they will never perish.” The parts of us that make up our existence and allow us to vitally function will never suffer complete ruin or destruction. The eternal power of creation, Christ himself, and all of us are joined together. This is a promise from Jesus to those who would follow him. What an amazing source of hope and encouragement! Let’s explore this further on Sunday morning, together. See you there!
