“Sheep Without A Shepherd”
Mark 6:30-34, 53-56
Pentecost 9B, July 21st, 2024
What is the sermon about? . . .
We live in an anxiety inducing, fast paced world. It is easy to get overwhelmed. Blasted by a 24-hour news cycle. Emotional trauma, financial conditions and medical concerns can leave us emotionally depleted. A discipline that can help bring us peace is meditation and prayer. Taking time each day to center ourselves and connect with God is essential. Jesus modeled this practice in his ministry, regularly taking the time to commune with his heavenly father. This is where his strength and miraculous power came from. The amazing news is this source of peace is available to us as well. Come this Sunday and hear more about the still waters that our great Shepherd leads us to, from the Gospel of Mark, chapter 6. See you there!
